• Word processing
    • Students use programs such as Word to publish their writing. This program is age appropriate for elementary school students because the program can be used to simply compose a basic writing sample (younger grades) or more complex features can be used (higher grades). Additionally, learning how to use programs such as Word is essential for students in their term development.
  • Survey maker
    • Our school has utilized the website, SurveyMonkey to create surveys for students to use. This website allows you to create a survey based on your needs. Then students can access the survey from any location. The results of the survey can be displayed in various formats. This is a great tool to use in a stastics unit!! The website is age appropriate because it is very user friendly. Note – Students may not be able to create their own survey on the site because a email address is required (my students do not have school email accounts)
  • Web browser/search engine
  • Glogster
    • Glogster is a site that allows students to create “posters” that are interactive and able to be shared. The posters can be developed for just about any topic. The site is user-friendly and engaging for students.
